In the theme Efficient Processes we present VTT’s activities and service consepts in developing production efficiency and production concepts. We cover the paper and packaging value chains from enzymatic treatment of pulp to printing process runnability and from carbon footprint to asset management. Our customers benefit from our versatile experimental facilities at laboratory and pilot scale. The research results can be verified in our unique research environments and in factory conditions. In the production of paper or board, or in converting, some of the most difficult and important quality or efficiency problems are related to process variations.
