VTT researchers win the Ken Maddern award

The Ken Maddern Award is given annually to the most outstanding paper published in the Appita Journal. In this year it was awarded to Elias Retulainen, Pekka Martikainen and Oleg Timofeev. The winning paper was titled Drying tension and shrinkage in paper and board, and it contained two parts: Part 1 Single ply sheets of chemical and mechanical furnishes and Part 2 A symmetric three-ply board. The papers were published in the January-March 2015 issue.
